Question 10

Do you offer garage door repair services?

Accepted Answer

Yes, in addition to custom door installations, we provide garage door repair and maintenance services for existing doors. This includes spring replacement, track alignment, panel repair, opener repair, and general maintenance. We service doors we installed as well as doors from other manufacturers. As one customer noted, we even serviced their doors 15+ years after original installation.

Question 11

What payment methods do you accept?

Accepted Answer

We accept cash, all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover), debit cards, checks, money orders, bank transfers, and cryptocurrency. Typically, we require a 50% deposit upon order with the balance due upon completion and installation. Financing options may be available for qualified buyers.

Question 12

Why won't my garage door close all the way?

Accepted Answer

Common causes include misaligned safety sensors (most common - clean sensors and check alignment), limit settings that need adjustment, damaged or bent tracks, broken or worn springs, or obstructions in the door path. If adjusting sensors and limits doesn't work, or if springs are broken, call a professional. Never attempt to fix springs yourself as they're under extreme tension and dangerous. Call Image Doors at (770) 740-9030 for professional repair service.

Question 13

How long do garage door springs last?

Accepted Answer

Standard garage door springs last approximately 7-10 years or 10,000-20,000 cycles (one cycle = door opening and closing once). High-cycle springs can last 20,000-30,000+ cycles. Factors affecting spring life include usage frequency, spring quality, and environmental conditions. Signs of failing springs include a heavy feeling door, door dropping quickly, visible gaps in spring coils, or squeaking noises. Never attempt to replace springs yourself - always call a professional as springs are under extreme tension.

Question 14

What is the difference between real carriage house doors and carriage style doors?

Accepted Answer

Carriage style doors are standard steel or fiberglass garage doors with decorative vinyl overlays applied to look like carriage doors - mass-produced and not custom. Real carriage house doors (what Image Doors specializes in) are custom handcrafted from authentic wood or premium steel, built as one piece or true panels (not overlays), with genuine functional hardware and completely custom specifications. The difference in authenticity, quality, craftsmanship, and appearance is dramatic, especially up close. Image Doors provides authentic reproduction, not imitations.

Question 15

Do you offer military discounts?

Accepted Answer

Yes, we offer military discounts for active duty service members and veterans. Contact us at (770) 740-9030 for details on current discount programs.
